• DO NOT remove the bandage until the day after surgery.
• If your bandage becomes soaked in blood then add more gauze and Coban to the bandage originally applied.
• Remove the bandage the day after surgery AFTER you have showered.
• Before applying antibiotic ointment and another bandage make sure the surrounding area is dry.
• Change the bandage daily until your next appointment
• Ice the area for 10 minutes and take 600mg of ibuprofen every 8 hours if you have pain
• Narcotics are not dispensed for pain post ingrown toenail procedures;  if your pain is that bad please go to the emergency room
