Salt Lake City * Sandy * West Jordan
As an enthusiastic athlete and holistic Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), Elizabeth E. Auger first arrived in Salt Lake City in 1996. After completing three years of medical residency in intensive foot surgery and wound care, she chose to make SLC her permanent home in 1999.
For Dr. Auger, Salt Lake City is the perfect place to be a part of the great outdoors while providing fellow athletes, infants, and seniors with the same-day appointments they desire and deserve. Having established three podiatry clinics -- in Sandy, West Jordan, and Millcreek -- she is able to meet the foot care needs of the entire SLC region.
Whether you are afflicted with ingrown toenails, rheumatoid arthritis, Achilles tendonitis, fallen arches, hammertoe, Morton’s neuroma, plantar fasciitis, diabetic ulcers, bunions, fungal nail, metatarsalgia, onychomycosis, tarsal tunnel or toe deformities -- Dr. Elizabeth E. Auger has the extensive training, experience, and compassion to get you moving again!
You can expect results from day #1. Dr. Elizabeth Auger’s SLC Podiatry clinics will determine the type of treatment your condition demands.
If foot surgery, orthotic devices or clinical procedures are necessary, these are not things you want to put on hold. Choosing to delay care can lead to further complications and even sepsis (blood poisoning) in which the body’s ability to fight an infection is thrown out of balance.
It is rare to find a podiatrist so dedicated that they will take all patients for same-day appointments. Dr. Auger’s goal is to keep people moving, and she is committed to treating your wounds, alleviating your pain, and healing any ongoing conditions you may have.
Everything you need and more than you expect is what makes Dr. Elizabeth E. Auger #1 in Salt Lake City podiatry!
Podiatrists are vital members of our medical provider community, yet some people are unaware of the many specialized treatments they offer -- and just how invaluable an office visit can prove to be. Foot doctors can provide expeditious pain relief, solid diagnostics, conservative treatments (such as home remedies), splinting, surgical procedures, and preventative measures to strengthen and expand your mobility.
We choose our shoes for the way they look, and wonder why stubbing a toe is so painful. We watch athletes stretching before they hike or jog, but don’t understand the purpose behind the practice. Let’s face it, our feet may as well be foreign objects for as much as we know about them.
If you love hiking, trail running, biking, snowshoeing, and skiing, you know that Salt Lake City, Utah has it all (and more). Maintaining the proper physical fitness -- essential to participating in sports of all types -- is best accomplished by staying informed and practicing intentional care.
Dr. Elizabeth E. Auger has seen and treated hundreds of cases in over two decades of SLC podiatry practice. She has devoted her medical training and research to developing personalized treatment protocols for the various injuries which athletes endure.
There are few body parts we take for granted more than our feet -- unless of course you have suffered foot and ankle challenges as a child, or your career demands many hours on your feet during each shift. As you become more aware of all the things your feet contribute to your life, it can literally stop you in your tracks! Fortunately, foot doctor Elizabeth E. Auger, DPM has the incredible skills it takes to determine the exact condition you’re experiencing, and deal with all of its complications.
Our feet are relatively small, yet mighty. Designed to be flat on the ground, their primary functions are to maintain balance, execute propulsion and shock absorption. But they are everything when disease or injuries get in the way of their flexibility and performance. Leonardo Da Vinci called them masterpieces of engineering. With the following composite of a single human foot, it isn’t difficult to understand why he felt this way:
When you are experiencing pain, redness, or swelling in your feet and ankles you need a foot doctor you can trust. Why wait days for an appointment? Why endure multiple-visit surgical procedures when they can be resolved in one process?
